That particular bloom is why I bought the plant. Exquisite was the word that came to me too. It is a Ranunculus.

Exquisitely delicate and balanced. Inspiration for a mandala? I enjoy the blurred yellow one in the background… A gentle pull on my eyes so they can move, let go, refocus and come back. I find the contrast between the two flowers adds a richness to the delicate balance.
