Two weeks ago I took photos of a garden in Maltby, a town northeast of Seattle. I had seen the garden soon after it was started in May and the transformation is remarkable. Seeing and walking through it has certainly inspired me.

They used permaculture techniques and the garden is in the form of a mandala. And it is SO prolific in terms of vegetable production.
I’ve been interested in echinacea ever since I saw them in Chicago. I know it really draws bees and butterflies. I don’t remember seeing echinacea in Maltby but they have lots of flowers that draw the pollinators.
I’ve planted three echinacea plants in my own garden this year and may get more.

I love how luscious and plentiful it looks! I like the design of where the gates are located and the invitation/welcoming I get from the open one in the front of the photo.
I hope I get to visit sooner than later.
