    1. That’s a very interesting question. I didn’t notice any rope but it sure looks like it. What I know is that it’s all one a long stick with metal in the end it’s so I assume it’s growing on an old tool of some kind. But I’ll go back and look.

      1. It wasn’t rope, it was yarn. I had apparently used it as a stake for a plant at some point. I’m glad I checked it out because I was able to take two pictures and add them to this post. I didn’t have any luck getting clear shots yesterday but had no trouble today.

    1. I just saw two tiny birds in that area but my eyes aren’t good enough to be able to see them clearly. Hopefully the glasses I’m picking up in the next couple days will allow me to see them better. I know Saroja is a bird watcher but I don’t know if I know others.

    1. As I understand it, fungi generally grow on trees and branches that are dead. Maybe that is why it seems ugly in humans. There are certainly nasty symptoms that go along with fungal problems in humans.
