Today I was walking near a pile of debris…
as I was walking up and down a slope to place burlap on areas that we are going to cover with wood chip mulch on Sunday. There is a shrub planted every place you see the blue and white checkered tape. Some of the plants haven’t been marked yet.
On one trip up the slope, a log caught my eye. I took a closer look at it when I walked back down.
How wondrous and beautiful nature is.
I like the circular pattern and gradation of colors. Reminds me of layers on a cliff and some types of coral.

I wish I could have gotten a shot where it ALL was in sharp focus. There was so much intricacy.

I’ve seen this pattern before…like how the edges of a geyser or hot springs look. Amazing how nature repeats itself visually. Certain clouds look like sand on the beach or tree bark can become a mountain range, etc.
Great discovery! Glad you stopped!

And sometimes you see faces in clouds or other forms of nature.
