A few days ago, when I was taking a zoom exercise class, I looked out the window and was stunned by the beauty of a tree in my neighbors yard.
As soon as the class was over, I took a photo. I was disappointed to discover that the photo did not reflect what I had seen with my eyes.
I decided to go outside and see if I could take a better photo, one that came closer to reality.
Success!
During the time I was staying in Woodinville, a friend asked if I wanted her to split and replant one house plant, and to move another to a bigger pot. I said I’d appreciate it. There was so much new growth on them when I came home.
On Friday, this banana leaf shoot caught my eye.
I found it interesting to look at the leaf-in-the-making up close.
When I went to the garden on Saturday, this was what I saw.
On Sunday, I had a big surprise awaiting me!
The new leaf felt like soft vinyl. I wish I had been present at it’s moment of birth.
