I was excited when I read that Bastet’s Pixelventures challenge for this week was to do some creative editing on an existing picture.
I have belonged to the Pacific NW Litter Project since it began in July of 2011. I decided to use a picture I had taken at the end of our first work party. We pulled a lot of garbage out of a forested area of Seattle on that day!
First I used the Picasa editor. I turned it into this strange but interesting photo!
Then I took the original picture and added a Daguerreotype frame in PicMonkey. This one is my favorite!

I like the last one, very cool x

And your Sunday challenge is also a fun experiment. I just took two pictures that might work. I’m about to read the poem again.

Will have to see if I have the nerve to press publish. I feel very insecure about this one.

Hmmm … Oh this was published yesterday! I just got your notice now ??? … but unless I was having a lucid dream seeing into the future… very strange. Okay … now I understand. Sorry, I was reading you in my notifications and I’d lost the thread. Yes I’ve seen the fine job you did on the poem and I adore it! Thanks so much and I’m sorry for the mess up.

Was no problem. I just figured you were making your way through the thread.
I’m glad you liked the pictures I took for the poem. I will remember that the next time I question whether or not I should participate!

It is very interesting how the picture’s mood changes with the changes of color.

I thought so too. And also seemed like the last one showed more detail.

Some photographers only work in black and white–I see why. I love that last photo!

I had a similar thought. I’ve never been interested in black and white but that picture is making me reconsider my bias.

I love the gradual changes and me too, the black and white is my fav…but I am bias to B + W photos…show such character and lines are more defined. Great job, Karuna!!

I was surprised how much difference the black and white made. I will explore that more in the future!
