Karuna, i was listening to the text portion of A Course in Miracles today and there was a section on the false beliefs being fueled by a desire to get “more.” The desire for more was called out in the text as being an element of ego. I think that teaching our children to value connection and inclusion above the desire to acquire more will only be a good thing.
