There is no doubt where where I “go to get my groove back.” For me, that place is Amritapuri, home of Amma, my spiritual teacher, and my adult children- Sreejit, my son, Chaitanya and Akshay, my daughter and her husband. Amritapuri is located in Kerala, a state in south-west India.

That is the temple. There are so many buildings now. When I first visited in 1990 the temple was almost finished and there were two houses. The rest of the buildings were straw huts and most of the land was under water!

Yes it is amazing. And it looks minor compared to which the extent of Amma’s humanitarian projects have grown. That is change is so massive it defies belief!
