Sometimes wind blows trash into places that people would never throw it (like other people’s gardens). Sometimes it snatches it right out of people’s hands as they are throwing it into the proper containers. I’ve seen it happen with my own eyes. I’ve had it happen to me. Not everyone can chase a piece of paper down the street when it’s been snatched away by the wind. So, instead of being sad about it, I just pick it up when I see and take dispose of it properly. Not every bit of litter on the street was carelessly tossed there is all I’m saying.

I know what you are saying; I’ve had that happen to me as well.
In my years of picking up trash, I’ve also seen numerous people use blowers to blow trash from in front of their businesses into the street or down the sidewalk. And there was a big area today where the city workers had cut the grass in a heavily littered area leaving trash all over the place.
My pictures don’t show the extent of the litter. I would say a work crew of a dozen people could have worked a full day and still not been able to clean up all the trash I saw in a 40 minute walk.

The flowers are gorgeous. Litter and lovliness both inhabit your neighborhood, like most others. I put leaves and aluminum cans in different categories, though.
