While the Northeastern part of the U.S. is bracing for major winter storms, the Pacific Northwest is experiencing record heat. I visited Seward Park in Seattle today and the beauty around me was stunning.

This looks like such a peaceful place to go walking. Lakes are wonderful for walking and taking photos. I love the picture of the sun behind the tree branches. 😊

Today the park was full of kids playing, bikers, joggers, people sitting peacefully, etc.
I love that picture of the sun too. And I really like a photo I will be using for Wordless Wednesday this week.
I can never get the photo I want to take of Mt. Rainier. The shots of the mountain I have in this gallery are really nice, but sometimes it looks SO close. That never happens at a place where I can stop and take a photo.
Trying to get that perfect picture has taken me on interesting journeys though, like today’s walk in Seward Park.

I always see great shots when I am driving and there’s nowhere to pull over. 😄

That is so true. Mount Rainier will pop up into my view looking gigantic and there is nowhere to stop. A half a block away it may be invisible because of trees or a dip in the road or may appear so far away. I have yet to be able to take a photo of it looking close.

I still smile when I see your gravatar. In part because I know the story behind it. I think it might be my favorite one.

It has been really nice for me since I’ve come back from India so recently. Going from hot to cold is very jolting. This year it has been mainly 50’s and now a few 60’s.

One of my favorite places. Did you know a flock of Parakeets lived there. Survivals of pet release!

I’m glad the pictures made you feel that way. Seattle is full of parks like this, all with different views. I may introduce you to more! Where do you live?

I’ve been there. The terrain is certainly different than the Pacific Northwest!
