Probably shortcake since I’ve never had a strawberry pie. But if we did it now it would taste very horrible. I suggest we wait until they turn red! 🙂

You’ll have to share your tips. I have seemingly killed my our strawberries over the course of one winter.

I think they are so prolific because I built up the planting beds with rich compost last year. It didn’t do much for the strawberries last year but the tomato plants ended up being six feet tall instead of three or four.

Wow! you are a good month ahead of us here…strawberries are popular during our Quebec National holiday June 24th…St Jean Baptiste (or summer solstice) special for me only because my mom`s birthday is June 22.

It seems like everything is earlier every year. Not surprising since the temperatures are hotter every year.

I stay away from strawberries due to my allergies and grueling hives but I do love raspberries and blackberries.

Blackberries grow wild…. and invasive… around here. But they do taste good. Too bad you are allergic to strawberries. I love raspberries also.

I can eat a bit but am careful not to overdo it since itchy hives in summer is a no-no
